Medical Screening Camp

The biannual medical screening camp for our orphan students was conducted successfully. This was the second camp of the year 2024. This camp was successfully held at DHQ Mirpur. A team of dedicated doctors including Dr. Ejaz Ahmed (Associate Professor & President Pakistan Medical Association), Dr. Sana ( Post graduate Resident), Dr. Nimra Yasin ( House Officer), Dr. Zaynab( PGR Pediatrics), Dr. Khan( Post graduate Resident), conducted comprehensive medical examinations for all attending orphan children.
This initiative aligns with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), specifically Article 24, which emphasizes the right of children to access the best possible healthcare and enjoy the highest attainable standard of health.
The camp was also honored with visits from several distinguished guests, including:
• Additional Secretary Health, Dr. Umar Azam
• Principal MBBS, Prof. Faisal Bashir
• MS DHQ, Dr. Amir
• Director Admin MBBS, Dr. Ijaz Mehmood
The biannual medical screening camp for our orphan students was conducted successfully. This was the second camp of the year.
In the first phase, 113 orphan students underwent medical check-ups. The following medicines were provided:
• Antic allergic Syrup: 50
• Antibiotics: 55 syrups and 30 tablets
• Painkillers: 45
• Iron Supplements: 40
Additionally, 6 children were referred to an eye specialist.
• 3 children require glasses.
• 2 children selected for surgery:
1 for tonsils surgery
1 for nasal polyp surgery
• 1 child needs consultation with a surgeon next week.
• 1 child requires a cochlear implant.
We’re grateful to have the support of the Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) in this initiative.
Thankfully, with the Pakistan Medical Association support, we were able to provide these essential services at no cost to the families.
